Ecommerce for sewing
SVP Worldwide, a global leader in the sewing machine industry, has embarked on an ambitious digital transformation project to revitalize the Singer brand and create a unified user experience across all its brands, including Pfaff and Husqvarna Viking.
Modernizing a Tradition
Singer needed to modernize its online presence in a rapidly evolving market while maintaining its rich historical heritage. The goal was to create a unified digital ecosystem that could seamlessly integrate the user experience across different brands and sales channels.
The challenge included improving customer engagement in an increasingly digitalized environment and unifying B2C and B2B e-commerce platforms. Moreover, it was crucial to integrate digital services like mySewnet with physical products and implement a modern, interconnected point of sale (POS) system.

A Tailored Design
Idib Group adopted a holistic approach to address this complex challenge. Our team began with an in-depth analysis of the existing information architecture, mapping user flows and touchpoints across various brands and channels.
We designed a phased transformation roadmap, starting with the modernization of Singer.com and its integration with mySewnet. This approach laid the foundation for a unified customer experience, introducing a consolidated customer identity and access system and an integrated payment system.
Rapid prototyping was fundamental to our process. We created low-fidelity mockups to visualize the multi-brand site concept, allowing SVP to assess the potential impact of this transformation quickly.

Interweaving Digital and Physical
The heart of our strategy was omnichannel integration. We designed an experience that seamlessly connects B2C and B2B e-commerce, physical stores, and digital services like mySewnet.
This led to the creation of innovative features such as a shared cart across all SVP brands and the "buy online, pick up in store" (BOPIS) functionality. We also implemented a unified loyalty system that is usable across all brands and channels.
A key element of our proposal was using Shopify Plus as the central e-commerce platform, integrated with existing systems such as JD Edwards for ERP and Widen for digital asset management (DAM).
The integration of Shopify POS enabled smooth in-store sales management, further connecting the online and offline experience.

Evolving Results
The digital transformation has led to significant results for SVP Worldwide. The new multi-brand platform has notably improved user experience, with increased customer engagement and satisfaction.
Implementing a scalable platform has laid the groundwork for sustainable growth and more effective global expansion. This has allowed SVP to react more quickly to market trends and consumer needs.
Internally, there has been greater alignment between marketing, e-commerce, and IT teams, facilitating more effective collaboration and increased organizational agility. This has led to an acceleration in the development and launch times of new digital initiatives.
Customers benefit from a significantly improved shopping experience, with unified and consistent access across all the group's brands. This has led to an increase in cross-brand sales and greater customer loyalty.
